Don Schreiber, Jr., CFP® – Founder & CEO
As Founder and CEO of The Hartshorne Group (formerly known as Wealth Builders, Inc.), Don Schreiber has built a unique, total wealth and financial management firm to provide comprehensive financial services to high-net-worth clients and families of significant wealth. Since its inception in 1984, Wealth Builders and The Hartshorne Group has operated under a simple philosophy: To continuously strive for excellence through unparalleled service, customized financial planning, and long-term client relationships.
Don is co-author of “All About Dividend Investing” released by McGraw Hill in December of 2005. He is also the author of “Building a World-Class Financial Services Business: How to Transform Your Sales Practice into a Business Worth Millions,” which was released by Dearborn Trade Publishing in July of 2001. He has been called upon by the press to provide perspective on dividend investing and the investment markets. Don’s media credits include major newspapers and magazines, as well as frequent appearances on Bloomberg, CNBC, and Fox News.
Don is a member of the Investment Committee of WBI Investments, Inc., a Hartshorne Group affiliate. He also created the “Gives Back” program, an initiative that provides employees the opportunity to volunteer for worthwhile community organizations.
Don earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with a major in Finance from Susquehanna University in 1977. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner since 1984, and a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
Bob Confessore, CFP® – President and Senior Wealth Manager
Bob Confessore has been providing financial and investment advice to clients for more than 30 years. Since joining The Hartshorne Group (formerly known as Wealth Builders, Inc.) in 1989, he has developed comprehensive wealth management strategies to help individual, family, and corporate clients achieve their long-term financial objectives.
As President and Senior Wealth Manager, Bob provides leadership and direction to the firm’s associates to ensure clients receive the highest levels of service and expertise possible. Bob’s service-driven business philosophy focuses on building lasting relationships and partnerships with the firm’s clients. It’s no wonder many of Hartshorne’s clients have been with the firm for decades!
Bob earned his Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1977. He enrolled in the College of Financial Planning Certified Financial Planner Certification Program, and earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification in 1990. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and currently maintains his FINRA Series 7, 24, 55, 63, 65, and 99 licenses.
Over the years, Bob has been an active participant in the company’s “Gives Back” program, where he volunteers for charitable organizations, such as Task Force Dagger Foundation which serves wounded servicemen and women and their families, participates in the Support-A-Soldier program as well as the Food Bank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties. He has also served on the Board of the Homing Corporation, a local nonprofit transitional housing program for homeless women and their children.
Bill Gallagher, MS, MPAS®, CFP® – Senior Planner
Bill Gallagher is a Senior Financial Planner with The Hartshorne Group, an SEC Registered Investment Adviser. Since joining The Hartshorne Group in 2007, Bill has worked directly with clients to help them achieve their personal financial goals and objectives. As Senior Planner, he seeks to provide innovative and comprehensive wealth management solutions for The Hartshorne Group’s individual and corporate clients.
Prior to joining The Hartshorne Group, Bill worked at Commerce Capital Markets as an Investment Consultant, where he designed and implemented investment portfolios for the banking clients of Commerce Bank. He worked closely with clients to monitor their financial situations and to make adjustments to their investment portfolios as their goals changed over time.
Bill attended Mount Saint Mary’s University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics upon graduation in 2001. He enrolled in Fairleigh Dickenson University’s Financial Planning Program and earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 2007. In 2017 Bill obtained a Master of Science degree with a major in personal financial planning from the College for Financial Planning. He also holds The Master Planner Advanced Studies™ (MPAS®) Professional Designation. This designation is offered exclusively to graduates of the College for Financial Planning’s Master of Science Degree Program in Personal Financial Planning and is considered the most advanced professional designation in the financial services industry. Bill maintains his FINRA Series 6 (Investment Company and Variable Contracts Products Representative), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law) licenses.
Misty Marlowe – Director of Wealth Management Services
Having been in the workforce from a very young age, Misty Marlowe brings a model work ethic and dedication to The Hartshorne Group. From her first job as a file clerk in a law firm, Misty has maintained continuous employment to the present day. She learned integrity and pride in workmanship from her father, who built his career as a respected craftsman.
Misty serves as the Director of Wealth Management Services with The Hartshorne Group, where she directs and oversees the operations of the firm’s Financial Planning and Wealth Management Practice. Misty performs the role of relationship manager for our family office clients. She is “hardwired for helping and nurturing,” which is why she thrives in her role with The Hartshorne Group. Misty maintains a FINRA Series 65 Registered Investment Advisor Representative license. She is also a New Jersey Notary Public.
Misty joined the firm in 2003 as Financial Planning Specialist. She earned promotions to Practice Manager and Director during her tenure. In prior positions, Misty worked as an Office Manager and Financial Paraplanner for Sagemark Consulting, and as an Office Administrator for Benefit Concepts, Inc.
When she is not working at the firm, Misty enjoys volunteering for the Food Bank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties, being a volunteer tax preparer for The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs, and preparing packages for our active-duty servicemen and women in the Support-A-Soldier project. Misty is also an active blood donor with the Central Jersey Blood Bank.
Paulette Sarlo – Financial Planning Assistant
Paulette Sarlo exemplifies our service-focused philosophy. In her capacity as Financial Planning Assistant, Paulette handles the day-to-day service of client accounts and works to ensure your requests are met in the most efficient way possible.
Before joining the firm in 2009, Paulette worked at Goldman Sachs for nine years, where she served as an Administrative Assistant to two partners in the Economic Research Department. Paulette brings her prior experience as an office manager and bookkeeper to her present position. She graduated from the Wood School with a Business Certificate, and is a current New Jersey Notary Public.
Paulette is an active participant in the company’s “Gives Back” program, and enjoys volunteering at a local animal shelter.
